NOTD - Stargazer 307

As promised, a more beauty-oriented post today!
I guess most of you probably will have seen this polish on other blogs by now, but hey, I love it, and it is my blog after all, haha ;)

For today's NOTD I chose Stargazer's Ultra Cover 307, which is, according to others, a dupe for Orly's Space Cadet. I don't own the Orly polish myself, but I have seen comparison photo's and they really look the same.

The pink really shows in this shot

And the green shows better in this shot

I've found this polish rather hard to photograph, to be honest, and it has to be seen in real life to really get the appreciation it deserves.
This is three coats, with CG's Fast Forward topcoat on top.

I bought this at BeautyFocus, for €3,99, and I kinda went a bit nuts with buying polishes from the Ultra Cover range, so I have quite a few more to show you in the future xD

NOTD - Catrice Run Forest Run!

Hey everybody!
Seeing how I told you yesterday that my absolute favourite of the three new Catrice polishes is Run Forest Run, I guess it's not much of a surprise I chose this lovely green colour as my NOTD today :)

I'm a sucker for green nail polish, so when I saw this colour, my first thought was: 'Ooh, pretty!'. When I then heard what the name was, I loved it even more.
This is two coats, and I'm sorry about the lighting, it's extremely crappy weather in Holland today.
Applying is like most Catrice polishes, no problems with it whatsoever.

Some other little thing I wanted to tell you guys about is the fact that eleven years ago today, my boyfriend and I got together. So it's a special day today for us :) Why celebrate at eleven, and not at ten, one might ask. Well, I guess I'm just weird like that ^^

Have a great weekend ladies!

World Animal Day

Today is the 4th of October, meaning it's World Animal Day. Because I love animals, I decided to make today's post a bit larger than usual.
Since I've posted photos of my two cats Julius and Brutus before, I guess you all know them a bit by now, but what most of you probably don't know is that my house somewhat resembles a zoo. Specifically, the reptile house at the zoo :)
The Man and I keep and breed snakes. Ball pythons, boa constrictors and corn snakes. And because today's post is animal oriented, I decided it might be cool to post some photos of my pretties:

This is Pinkeh, our Albino boa constrictor, he's 6 months old now

This is Spidey, our spider Ball python, he's 2 years old now

Pretty, aren't they? More information about them can be found here, at our snakes' website.

Ofcourse I also did a NOTD today, so this post won't be all off-topic :) I chose China Glaze's Gussied Up Green today, a beautiful forest green colour from the 2008 fall collection Rodeo Diva:

I love this colour! This is two coats, photographed in natural light.

Finally, because it's World Animal Day, I'd like to give some attention to my two favourite organisations, who are fighting for animals year-round:

Give your pets an extra hug today!

NOTD - Essence Glisten Up! over Movie Star

I used Glisten up! to spice up Movie Star, and I've got to say, I'm quite pleased with the results! Glisten Up! is a very sheer turquoise blue polish with flakies and glitter in it. Layered over Movie Star it resulted in a greenish grey colour, which I actually like a lot!

What do you guys think of this combination?

NOTD - China Glaze Zombie Zest

I love this colour. Simple as that. This is the colour that made me buy the Awakening collection (ofcourse I also love the other two, but this one is just awesome in my opinion):

It's a moss green, loaded with tiny gold/green glitter, and it applies very smoothly. This is three coats, with the Fast Forward Top Coat, which I still think smells funny, but does the job :)
I definitely need more moss green polishes! I own quite a lot of clothes in that colour, so adding a moss green crème to my nailpolish stash is first on my list, I think.
Here's a close-up of my ring finger:

So, what do you guys think of this colour? Am I the only one who adores it, or do you love it too?
